She keeps reciting Psalms 23 – the Lord is my Shepherd… When asked why she so particular with this chapter in the Bible, with a smile she maintains that the Lord has made her what she is today, and she continues to thank God for the wonderful gift of life and her sponsors – PALCO (U) LTD.

Rebecca Nakijjo was born 9 years ago to a peasant family in one of the remote villages in the central Uganda district of Mityana. Rebecca is the 8^th child in a family of 12. Both her parents are alive but living in abject poverty!

 Living in a single room mud house, Rebecca says that they hardly have a hot meal at home. They survive from the neighborhood where porridge is prepared and served every morning. It was here that she was identified by PALCO-Uganda for sponsorship.

Rebecca is in Primary three at Little Royal Junior School and says she is no longer worried of being sent home for school fees and scholastic materials because PALCO Uganda provides all at the beginning of every term.

At school, Rebecca is an ardent member of the school’s scripture union club and always reminds others to pray and leads the praise and worship every Wednesday morning during prayer for the entire school.

“I want to become an accountant and help my poor parents and PALCO Uganda to achieve the desired goals”, says Rebecca.
