Africa’s most valuable asset lies in its empowered women
AFRICA'S MOST VALUABLE ASSET LIES IN ITS EMPOWEREDWOMEN
During this financial year PALCO supported 87 women and 20 youth in vocational and apprenticeship training. The skills training included hair dressing, making of craft shoes and tailoring. They were also given skills in handling customers and starting of businesses. After training they are grouped and given start up kits to begin their business enterprises.
We’re making a difference by offering mentoring, teaching business skills, and providing job opportunities. When we show these women love, they find hope and purpose.
Grace Crafts Centre empowers these women by offering them the invaluable opportunity to learn the art of shoe making. Through guidance and hands-on training, women are equipped with the techniques and knowledge needed to craft footwear of exceptional quality.
CRAFTING A BRIGHTERFUTURE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES
Women also receive the necessary training and expertise to create footwear of outstanding quality, learn hairdressing and tailoring. With every stitch and design, these women aren’t merely perfecting a craft; they’re actively shaping a brighter future for themselves and their families.
